Yesterday, I saw one called "Invading neighbors" in english with my little brother, and It was so really fun! -Multiplayer games: I like so much! I have some of them at home so we can try to practise them in english.
-Australian recipes: I don't like cooking because, for me, it's boring, however these days I'm trying to cook different delectable recipes with my mother, like: Apple pie, Rice pudding, pancakes with fruit, Easter cakes, oatmeal cookies, waffles, chocolate muffins...
I found "Lamingtons" interesting and very curious so maybe, I Will try them.

    1. Hi! I am happy to see that you are keeping yourself busy and continuing to practice your English in this time. I recommend maybe trying some of the animated movies with your family using subtitles as they have simpler English. My personal favourite is Big Hero 6.

  8. Hello Sam!
    What'up?
    I'm María Fernanda from 2nd B.
I have seen your presentation and I really liked it, thanks for taking your time.
~ Movies: I have seen the whole block of animated movies in English, watching them in English has helped me a lot with the vocabulary.
I've also seen Prison Break, but only the first 5 chapters in English because they spoke very fast and it was difficult to understand them.
~ Recipes: These days, my family and I have made many delicious desserts and we have made one that was similar to "Lamingtons", next week I will tell my family to make them.
~ Online English Lessons: The Busuu app has helped me a lot preparing for the Cambridge Exam, this app is very good. I also use another application called Duolingo, this application is very entertaining and helps you a lot in your vocabulary, speaking and writing.
~ Games: I haven't played many games in English with my family because they aren't good at english. The only ones we have played have been "Heads Up" and one similar to "Trivia Crack 2", they are very entertaining and you make memorable moments with your family.
I hope that you and your family are very happy and well these days.
    Best wishes,Fer!

    1. Hello!
It sounds like you have good taste in movies! I am watching prison break now and am only up to season 2 so no spoilers.

Yes busuu is very good and duolingo I like as well if you are focussing on vocabulary.

The good thing with some of those games (trivia crack, words with friends, etc) is that you can play them online with friends who may be closer to your level.

      Good luck with everything!
      Sam.

    How are you?

I am Pilar from 1st A. This quarantine is taking too long for me and I miss my friends.
I have seen your recommendation and it is very interesting and original. You are very creative.
Some of your recommendations have seemed very funny to me like:

-I love see movies and series and I have seen the Modern family series with my family on netflix and it is very funny because they are not a perfect family, it is very original and I sometimes have seen Grace and Frankey with my mother buti like more modern family.

-I like play games too. I have played heds up with my brother in english but sometimes I get confused with words, but it's a lot of fun and I played taboo too but with my sister in spanish because this is more difficult but other day I`m going to try to play it in English.
I like a lot your ideas for the quarentertainment and i´m going to do more. Bye!

    1. Hi Pilar, I am doing well, but I am like you in that I miss my friends.

Yes Modern Family is very good for easy watching and to have a laugh. If you like it I also recommend Parks and Recreation as it has a similar humour (it gets better after the first season).

Good luck with the games, sounds like you have a gold plan. Remember getting confused with the words isn't such a bad thing as that's when you will learn them better.

      Good luck!
      Sam.

  13. Hi, I'm Natalia from 2ºB. I have taken a look at your presentation and I found it very entertaining and the platform has seemed unusual but practical.

There are two activities that have been common to me and I have been trying them:
Movie time: I have been watching the chocolate factory with my brother, since we had seen it many times in Spanish. We have tried and we have seen it in English. It has been easy to understand.

And the second activity has been the Word party (taboo word): this game is very common to play with friends, and that's what I've done. I was on video call with some of my friends and the game was made in English since we are all pretty good at this language.

    Bye!!

  14. Hi Natalia.
Yes the platform is a little bit different but I think once you use it a bit it is simple enough.

I am very happy to read that you played word party with your friends, it is a good way to keep practicing in this situation. I recommend trying some of the other games as well to see what you think.

    Good luck!
    Sam.

  15. Hi Sam, I'm Marta from 2°A. I really liked your entertaining presentation. I'm going to try to do some of your activities with my family:

I'd like to see some famous movies such as Cast Away or the Chocolate Factory that I have seen in Spanish but not in English and I love it.

I want to try making Australian recipes like Cob Loaf that seem very easy to make, it looks very good and I sure they tastes great.

Also I want to download some apps that appear in your presentation as Heads Up. I am sure I will have a good time with my family.
